Privacy Policy

BULLDAR ("BULLDAR", "we", "us") turns public posts from newsmakers into real-time stock-market sentiment reads and alerts. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over your information. We keep the data we hold to the minimum the app needs to work.

Information we collect

Account details you provide when you sign up: your first name, last name, username, and email address.
Your password — stored only as a salted, one-way hash (scrypt). We never store, log, or can read your actual password.
In-app activity needed to run the app: the profiles you follow and your notification preferences.
Push-notification subscription — if you turn on notifications, your device/browser gives us an anonymous push "endpoint" so we can deliver alerts. It isn't tied to your identity and you can turn it off anytime.
Basic diagnostics — non-identifying technical info (e.g. whether the backend is reachable, how many posts are cached) used to keep the service healthy.

We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, or your photos, and we do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

How we use your information

To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
To send you the market alerts and notifications you ask for, for the accounts you follow.
To send transactional email — email-verification codes and password-reset codes — via our email provider. We don't send marketing email.
To operate, troubleshoot, and improve the app.

Market data

Prices, charts, and economic-calendar figures come from third-party providers (including Yahoo Finance, ForexFactory, and Financial Modeling Prep). This is public market information presented for your interest. BULLDAR is not a broker or financial adviser, and nothing in the app is investment advice.

How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we rely on to run BULLDAR — our cloud hosting and database provider, and our email provider — and only as needed to deliver the service. We may disclose information if required by law.

Storage & security

Your data is stored on our servers (a hosted database). Passwords are hashed, and traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account at any time in the app: open Profile → Settings → Delete account and confirm with your password. This immediately removes your account and the data tied to it — your profile, sessions, and any pending verification or reset codes. You can also email us and we'll delete it for you.

Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. Email-verification and password-reset codes are short-lived and expire within minutes. When you delete your account, the associated data is removed as described above.

Children

BULLDAR is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be reflected here.
